Get to know Melissa.

Melissa’s career began at the Salon Professional Academy in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, where she earned her Cosmetology License in 2011. She quickly found that her true passion was working with skin, seeing the impact she could have on her clients’ self-esteem and confidence. This led her to broaden her skills to include customized clinical facials and facial and body waxing. Melissa loves creating customized treatments to achieve the best results for each individual client.

Wanting to broaden her education and experience even further, Melissa sought a position within a plastic surgery office. Working within a medical practice offered opportunities to advance her skills and expertise. She obtained certifications in chemical peels and ingredient knowledge from PCA (Physician’s Care Alliance), and became certified to perform microdermabrasion. Through this training, Melissa developed a keen interest in treating hyperpigmentation, seeing how effective chemical peeling could be in addressing dark patches on the skin.

Melissa went on to pursue advanced training in cosmetic laser technologies. She appreciates their non-surgical approach and especially gravitated toward non-invasive skin tightening treatments. She loves educating her clients about the options available to them, believing that the more you know and understand, the more empowered you feel about your choices.

Specializing in advanced skin treatment and as a Face Reality Certified Acne Specialist, Melissa continues to pursue training and certifications. She believes that beyond any piece of equipment or product, the most valuable tool a skin therapist has is knowledge.
