Understand your treatment
Light with
a purpose.
LED stands for light-emitting diode. Treatment uses selected wavelengths of light rather than needles or exfoliation.
Different light settings serve different purposes. Your provider can explain whether LED is a useful addition to your skin care plan.
Fine lines & texture.
Red-light treatments may gradually improve the appearance of fine lines and skin texture.
Acne care.
Certain blue- and red-light treatments can be part of a plan for inflammatory acne.
Consistent care.
Benefits develop over time. Your provider will explain a realistic treatment schedule and goals.

Before you book
Your questions,
answered simply.
Is LED the same as a laser treatment?
No. LED uses light-emitting diodes. It is different from laser resurfacing and from BBL treatments. Ask your provider which approach best fits your concern.
What’s the difference between red and blue light?
Red light is commonly used for signs of aging. Blue light can target bacteria involved in some inflammatory acne. Device settings and results vary, so let your provider select your treatment.
How many sessions will I need?
Usually more than one. Improvements are gradual and vary by device and concern. Ask for a personalized schedule and a realistic point to review your progress.
Will there be downtime?
LED alone generally requires little or no downtime. Temporary redness or irritation can occur. If it’s combined with another treatment, follow the aftercare for that service too.
Is LED suitable for everyone?
Suitability needs to be assessed. Tell your provider about light sensitivity, medications, and skin conditions, including a history of pigmentation changes. Follow all eye-protection instructions during treatment.
Can I add it to a facial?
Ask when scheduling. Your provider can confirm suitable combinations, whether LED is already included, and any additional cost.
