Laser tattoo removal treatment

Understand the process

Gradual fading.
Thoughtful care.

Laser energy breaks tattoo pigment into smaller particles. Your body clears those particles over time, allowing the tattoo to fade between visits.

Removal usually involves multiple sessions. Ink colors, depth, location, skin, and previous treatments all influence the response.

Your tattoo is assessed.

We’ll look at the design, colors, treatment history, and your goals before recommending a plan.

Healing takes time.

Visits are spaced to allow skin recovery and continued pigment clearance.

Results vary.

Some ink responds more readily. Complete removal cannot be guaranteed.

Before you book

Your questions,
answered clearly.

Does laser tattoo removal hurt?

The sensation is often compared to a hot rubber-band snap. Comfort varies by person and area. Harmony uses cooling during care; ask about the options for your session.

How many sessions will I need?

There is no single number for every tattoo. Size, colors, ink depth, location, and response affect the plan. An estimate may change as treatment progresses.

Why do I need to wait between visits?

Skin needs time to heal, and your body continues clearing broken-down pigment between sessions. Your provider will recommend spacing based on your response.

Can every tattoo be completely removed?

No. Some colors and pigments are more difficult to treat, and residual ink or skin changes can remain. Complete removal is not guaranteed.

Can I lighten a tattoo for a cover-up?

Discuss this goal during your consultation. Coordinate with your tattoo artist about the desired amount of fading and allow the area to heal fully before further tattooing.

What is recovery like?

Redness, tenderness, swelling, blistering, or crusting may occur. Follow your provider’s instructions for cleansing, dressings, activity, and sun protection. Avoid picking or disturbing the treated skin.

Are there risks?

Risks include burns, infection, scarring, and lighter or darker skin. Some pigments can darken instead of fading. Your provider will explain the risks relevant to your tattoo and skin.

Can you remove permanent makeup?

Ask before booking. Cosmetic tattoo pigments require special assessment because some can darken with laser treatment. Suitability and availability must be confirmed individually.

How much does it cost?

Pricing is discussed after assessing your tattoo. Confirm the cost per session and the limits of any estimate. Call (715) 514-2672 to get started.
