Professional hair removal treatment

Start with your priorities

Your skin. Your routine.
Your choice.

I want a smoother feel.

Explore waxing for temporary removal from the root, or dermaplaning for fine facial fuzz and surface exfoliation.

I want less upkeep.

Ask whether Forever Bare BBL is suitable for longer-term reduction in your treatment area. A series and maintenance may be needed.

I have light or persistent hairs.

Discuss electrolysis for individual follicles, including light-colored hairs that may not respond well to light-based treatment.

Understand the difference

Four options.
A clearer starting point.

Your hair color, skin tone, treatment area, and preferred level of maintenance help guide the choice.

Temporary face & body removal

Waxing

Removes hair from the root for a smooth finish that lasts beyond a shave. Choose this when you want temporary removal without committing to a light-treatment series.

Ask about the available areas and allow hair to grow to approximately ¼ inch before your visit.

Longer-term hair reduction

Forever Bare BBL™

Uses broad-spectrum pulsed light to target pigment in suitable hair follicles. BBL is a light-based treatment, rather than a laser.

A consultation is required to assess your skin and hair. Harmony recommends planning for around six sessions, with the final schedule tailored to your response.

Individual follicles & light hairs

Electrolysis

Treats individual follicles with an electrical current and can permanently remove treated hairs. Multiple sessions are needed because hair grows in different cycles.

Unlike light-based treatment, electrolysis does not depend on dark hair pigment. Your electrologist will review suitability and explain the commitment.

Consultation required. You must be 18 or older to schedule electrolysis at Harmony.

Fine facial fuzz & exfoliation

Dermaplaning

A professional blade removes fine facial hair and surface dead skin cells. A choice to discuss when peach fuzz and a smoother-looking finish are your priorities.

Results are temporary. Your provider will check for active breakouts, irritation, or other reasons to postpone treatment.

Clear answers.
Less guesswork.

Which option should I choose?

Start with your goal: temporary smoothness, reduced ongoing growth, or permanent removal of individual hairs. If you’re unsure, call us before booking and describe your area of concern.

Will BBL work on blonde, gray, or red hair?

Light-based reduction relies on hair pigment, so very light, white, gray, and red hairs may respond poorly or not at all. Ask whether electrolysis is a more suitable option.

Is hair reduction the same as permanent removal?

No. Light-based treatment aims to reduce growth over time, and maintenance may be needed. Electrolysis can permanently remove treated hairs, but achieving clearance takes repeated appointments.

Can I wax or tweeze before BBL?

Ask for your provider’s preparation instructions before doing either. Removing hair from the root can interfere with light-based treatment. Follow the shaving and timing guidance given for your appointment.

Can I wax while using retinol or acne medication?

Tell your provider exactly what you use, including prescription retinoids and oral isotretinoin. These can make waxing unsuitable because skin may lift or tear. Do not stop a prescribed medication without your prescriber’s advice.

Is treatment suitable for every skin tone?

Suitability depends on the method and device. A consultation is especially important for BBL: your provider should assess your skin tone, tanning history, and risk of pigment changes. Not every device is appropriate for every person.

What reactions are possible?

Temporary redness, sensitivity, or swelling can occur. Risks vary by method and may include burns, infection, pigment changes, or scarring. Your provider will explain the risks and aftercare for the service you choose.
